Rusting is a common phenomenon observed when the metallic surface is exposed to the atmosphere. Rust is iron oxide usually a red oxide formed by the redox reaction of iron and oxygen. Today rust on iron has become very common especially in the rainy season or in the place near the sea and thus oiling is critical towards preventing and curing rusting. In this paper, an oil dipping mechanism was developed to prevent the mechanical product manufactured in the industry from rust and corrosion. The developed model can provide fast and efficient cleaning of manufactured components. The design of the individual parts was done by the conventional design process and the 3D model was done using Solid works software. Dipping is the simple method where a uniform layer of oil is applied to the internal and external surface of the workpiece. The semi-automatic oil dipping system developed results in higher efficiency and reduced labor requirement.
